Established in 1948, Nilratan Sircar Medical College (NSMC) is named after the eminent physician and social reformer, Sir Nilratan Sircar. It stands as one of the oldest and most prestigious government medical institutions in West Bengal, with a rich history of contributing to the healthcare landscape of Eastern India.
From its humble beginnings in a refurbished building, NSMC has grown into a sprawling 50-acre campus housing a 1500-bed tertiary care teaching hospital, state-of-the-art laboratories, modern lecture halls, and extensive student amenities. Our alumni network spans across the globe, holding key positions in healthcare, academia, and research.
